Contributing

Help shape the next change.

SQL Studio welcomes contributions, bug reports and feature ideas through its GitHub repository.

Before you start

Search existing issues and discussions. For a question or a larger design idea, start a discussion to establish context before writing code.

Submitting a change

  1. Fork the repository and create a branch from develop.
  2. Keep the change focused and clearly scoped.
  3. Add or update tests when behavior changes.
  4. Verify the relevant build and tests pass.
  5. Open a pull request against develop, describing the problem and the change.

Link a related issue when applicable and include screenshots for UI changes when useful. The upstream guidelines ask contributors to avoid unrelated refactoring in the same pull request.

Contribution terms

The contribution guide states that submitted work is distributed under the same license as the project. Read the full CONTRIBUTING.md and the license information.
